We got engaged on our 4-year anniversary! We were relaxing after dinner and Coy was looking at this ring I always wear (a sapphire my parents gave me when I was 16). He asked, You really like that ring? I said, Of course, I havent taken it off in 10 years. The next thing I knew, he was on one knee with the most perfect sapphire engagement ring I had ever seen, asking me, What do you think about this ring? Will you marry me? Of course, I said yes!
Our wedding colors were emerald green and gold. Green is one of my favorite colors and I thought the emerald and gold would make for the perfect fall wedding. Also, Coy and I both graduated from UNC-Charlotte and those just so happen to be the school colors.
One of the most unique elements of our day was that we had a unity puzzle ceremony instead of the traditional sand or unity candle ceremony. We love puzzles!
Our wedding day was exciting! Honestly, it was the most perfect day. Everything seemed to just happen like it was supposed to. It was the most beautiful overcast fall day with temperatures in the 60s. The ceremony was very intimate and personal (my aunt married us). And, the reception was so fun! Everyone was on the dance floor, even my grandparents! It was everything Id dreamed of and more. ~ Sarah
