I had dreamed about my wedding day for as long as my brain could comprehend getting married. I knew I wanted something simple, but elegant, with a little southern charm added in.
I had always heard people saying how stressful planning a wedding was and how not everything would go as planned. Luckily, it was not like this for me. With the help of my coordinator, photographer, and caterer (who was like a second mom and an amazing insight with wisdom of the wedding world), the entire planning process and wedding day went off without any problems. I was so relaxed the entire day. It was full of dancing, laughing, and pure fun.
My family has a tradition of ringing a cow bell as soon as the bride and groom kiss. My uncle did this for us to carry on the tradition; not something you see at every wedding.
Caleb and I did a first touch. We really wanted to be able to talk and share notes with each other before the ceremony started. When we heard about the first touch, we knew that was exactly what we wanted. It allowed us to read the notes, talk, and pray to ease our nerves and get us even more excited for the ceremony to come.
I could not have asked for a more perfect day, which is saying a lot considering I am a perfectionist and want everything exactly how I want it. I think three of the most important things during a wedding are: trust in the team youve chosen, teamwork to get everything done, and communication. I can honestly say every one of my vendors showed these three things and that helped the wedding day go so smoothly. ~ Elizabeth
