“Daniel and I are both really down to earth people and wanted our big day to match that. We chose neutral florals and greenery with pops of light pink to give the day an airy feel.
“My bridesmaids and I spent the morning brunching and getting ready in the bridal suite, with endless mimosas, while the boys hung out in the groom’s shed and played cornhole and Xbox. It was the perfect start to the day for all of us, especially the Xbox obsessed groom.
“Before the ceremony began, I did a first look with my bridesmaids, my dad, and my soon-to-be husband. Their reactions were so sweet, and I am so glad I chose to do those first looks. I love that I have those memories and pictures to look back on forever!
“We had an outdoor ceremony on the grassy knoll and a cocktail hour on the BEAUTIFUL side porch at Triple J Manor House. It provided us the time to mingle and enjoy the yard games, the hors d’oeurvres, and our signature cocktail, the Berry Married Mule. We spent the rest of the evening dancing before our glow stick send off!
“One of my favorite things were the custom napkins that my mother and sister had made for us. They had a foil pressed hand illustration of our extremely spoiled dog, Kash. I knew nothing about these napkins, so when we saw them, they made us so happy, and they were the most perfect little touch. Yes, we are those extremely obsessed dog parents, don’t judge!
“I was also able to wear my great grandmother’s pearl bracelet, which was such a special touch. We had a memory table in honor of our grandparents and our first family dog, Jack…something that still makes my cry to this day. My veil was my mother’s, and although I changed it a little bit, it still holds that extreme sentimental value to me.
“It was such a perfect day for us! I just wish it didn’t have to end!” ~ Ashlyn
